The UK Balloon Artist Awards was created by Amelia Adkins, Founder and Managing Director of one of the UK’s leading balloon wholesalers, Pro Balloon Shop.
Amelia’s vision was to create an inclusive event that empowers artists to step out of their comfort zone and strive for excellence in their everyday work.
This event provides a place for artists and industry professionals to celebrate their achievements over the past year, let their hair down and mingle with others in the industry over a glass of fizz or two!

The Impact Award
The Impact Award recognises an individual or business that has made a significant contribution to the growth and innovation of the UK market.
A panel of 10 independent industry experts—ranging from wholesalers and distributors to brand owners, artists, and educators—has carefully selected six nominees. These nominees represent those who have made the most profound impact on driving the growth and innovation in the UK market.

Awards
The award categories have been carefully selected by our judges.
Each nomination will go through a shortlisting process, and then onto final judging. All judging and shortlisting is done by our panel of judges and entries remain anonymous to the judges through to the shortlisting stage.
Judges will consider the following criteria:
1. Wow factor - does the design elicit a strong and positive reaction, leaving a lasting impression, and generates a sense of awe, excitement, or amazement?
2. Is the design Creative, using innovative and unique techniques, or arrangements of balloons to create a visually striking and imaginative display?
3. Colour and Contrast: Has the artist incorporated a good use of contrasting colours in to the balloon arrangement to create a visually dynamic and eye catching display. Do the colours work well with the theme if applicable?
4. Unity & Harmony: Do all the elements appear to belong together, resulting in a strong sense of oneness?
5. Attention to Detail: Does the design look professionally made and finished to a high standard?
6. Brand Visibility: How visual is your brand?
7. Are you actively engaging with your audience on social media platforms and sharing valuable content.
8. Are your posts consistent and regular?
9. Do you have a website?
10. Adherence to Rules: Does the design comply with the rules as stated?
Best Classic Balloon Display
Classic balloon decor refers to uniformly inflated balloons, traditional styles of balloon arrangements and designs that typically involve simple, symmetrical patterns and structures. This type of balloon decor is characterised by its neat and orderly appearance, often using standard shapes and colour combinations.
Best Organic Balloon Display
Organic balloon decor refers to a style of balloon arrangement and design that is natural and free-flowing in appearance. Organic balloon decor uses balloons of varying sizes and shapes to create a natural and uneven appearance, rather than using uniformly inflated balloons.
Best Deliverable Balloon Display
The ultimate deliverable balloon display offers a delightful mix of helium, air-filled, or a combination of both, tailored perfectly for hassle-free delivery. Your design should exude charm but also convey a heart warming message to celebrate significant moments like birthdays, welcoming a new baby, or another special occasion. This includes things like Bubbles, Number Stacks, Grab and Go Garlands. If it's delivered to a customer in its final form and not set up on site, then it's deliverable!
Best Themed Balloon Display
A themed display is a captivating and imaginative form of decor crafted with a specific theme in mind. Whether it's a spooky Halloween setting, a whimsical circus wonderland, a prehistoric world with dinosaurs, a vibrant fiesta celebration, or an adventurous safari landscape, show us your best themed display!
Award Entry Rules
1. The usage of counterfeit or unlicensed balloons is strictly prohibited. This includes creating a representation of a licensed character.
2. Unauthorised props, cut-outs, and fonts are not allowed. This includes homemade items or purchases from companies without proper licensing to reproduce these items.
3. All submitted photographs must be original work created by the entrant and not including any element of AI.
4. The decisions of the judges are considered final and binding.
5. Application deadline for all awards is midnight on the 8th September 2024.
